More Figures

Here are some more figure drawings that I finally got around to photographing. All of them except for the bust were drawing with the idea of light and shadow and how those interact with the contours of the body with a unified sense of the darkest dark and lightest light. The bust was a simple linear contour response to a sculpture at the Brooklyn Museum.

Installation

Good evening everyone! Today I presented my latest 3D installation piece. It was a rather large three dimensional cubist rendering of the letter p. I wanted to play with two dimensional planes and how they interact at intervals and overlapping spaces. It's made from various papers (mostly chip board) and plexiglass. I then painted them to add some suggested texture and to act as a directional force beyond the perpendicular vertical and horizontal force of the geometric panels. I am pretty happy with how it came out.
