4D Preliminary Work

Here are a couple studies I did for my next 4D project. We will be working with split screen and mirroring; I am really excited about it. I took a photo of a Richard Serra installation piece that was at the MoMA and fooled around with it in Photoshop to find interesting interactions with the negative and positive space shapes. Pretty simple stuff really, but the interactions create some powerful images. The final product is going to be a video, but that is all I'm going to tell you for now. You will just have to wait and see it for yourself in a couple of weeks.

This one is the original image. The next two are the abstractions.

I need to get some batteries so I can take pictures of my newest drawings. So, be on the lookout for those toward the weekend. I am also on the tail end of a huge (well, huge for me) 3D installation piece that I have been slaving over. I will be finishing it up the first part of next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

Drawing Bananza!

WOWZA ladies and gentlemen, do I have a treat for you! Here for you are about 10 drawings from this semester along with a self portrait painting I did for LCD. A lot of the drawings (most of the figures) are done with cross contour lines, which is what we have been focusing on the past week or two. We are venturing into the land of tone as well, so expect to see some full fledged finalized drawings in the weeks to come!

Enjoy!

Sorry its been a while boys and girls. Here is a new post. They are all work from the first semester.

I will try to photograph some of my work from this semester. First though, I need to find a functioning camera - easier said than done.

Ok kids there you have it. Be on the look out for a new post over the weekend!
